On the Balcon de Europa in the heart of Nerja town centre, you can look out over the Mediterranean Sea. Thousands of tourists are drawn here every year to get a taste of the white little town, the blue sea, the beaches nestled between high mountains and turquoise waters, and a people who have seduced tourists from all over the world. ​ Nerja is located in the far east of the province of Malaga and borders the province of Granada. The town has around 22,000 permanent residents, and is thus a small picturesque village.
